No funded chronic weight-management benefit was found in Ontario semaglutide, tirzepatide and liraglutide searches; Sevmia and Wegovy appear only as off-formulary interchangeable entries.
Xenical EAP criteria concern type 2 diabetes: HbA1c above 7% despite maximal oral diabetes medicines, BMI at least 27, and failed diet/nutritional counselling plus exercise. Initial approval is one year; first renewal is 12 months with at least 5% weight loss and HbA1c below 7% or reduction over 0.5%.
Ontario EAP requires ODB eligibility and a funded drug/indication; its linked published criteria cover only some EAP drugs and do not guarantee approval.
